Uncharted Maps

My senior thesis began as an exploration of maps for a few cities untraveled by me, hence the name "Uncharted Maps". The more I learned about each city, the more I realized that the reason I was so interested in these cities was because of the iconic music coming from each. Music is key factor in my daily routine, it was only fitting that it overlapped with my love of maps.
Nashville, TN has always been a dream of mine. I grew up listening to country classics and Johnny Cash was at the fore front. Him and his guitar paved the way for so many other classics to follow. 
The jazz coming out of New Orleans, LA is mesmerizing. It only made since to continue with legends and choose Louis Armstrong's trumpet to render. 
Seattle, WA is stands out more being so heavily rooted in the grunge scene, but it's another style I'm drawn to. Kurt Cobain's iconic left-handed Fender holds it's own compared to the others. 
These three posters are just the start. There are so many cities, states, and countries I want to go to. I want to continue developing this as a series for the never-ending list of places that remain uncharted.
